The theme for this year’s Rose Queen festival is ‘The Circus’ a colourful spectacle with some inevitable clowning around.

The procession of floats and bands will leave Thelwall Parish Hall car park at 1.30pm and parade through the village returning to Chaigeley School field where there will be many stalls, fairground attractions, arena events and of course the Crowning of the Rose Queen.

Attractions this year include an Extreme Mountain Bike Show, a Dog Show, a Giant Inflatable Assault Course, remote control cars, donkey rides, fairground rides, Crazy Golf, Thelwall Morris Men, Bands and much more.

Entry is £2.00 per adult and children are free.

We can never have too many floats in the procession. If you think you can get a group together and enter a float or have some spare some time to decorate a float and join the parade then please contact the Committee at  We also still have space for some stalls so if you would like a pitch please get in touch.

There is still time for you to join in the event.  We are still in need of volunteers on the day. You could just help on the day, or for a few hours of your time over the year join the Committee and help to keep this tradition alive.

The Thelwall Rose Queen is a hugely popular event and enjoyed by many in the village and beyond each year. A huge amount of work is undertaken by all the volunteers to make the event a success, so please support us by coming to the event or by buying some raffle tickets so we can continue with this well-loved Festival.

We hope to see you there on the day!

There is no parking or dropping off facility at the Parish Hall on the day but if access is required then please contact the Committee at

Please see for further information.
