How ‘essential’ is the Culcheth Essential Guide? Well having lived in Culcheth Village for over 20 years, I have to say that this Guide has been a ‘must read’ booklet if you want to know what’s going on in the area and where you can get access to essential services. With masses of unwanted junk mail dropping through your door these days, it is really refreshing and valued that the Culcheth Essential Guide is delivered completely free, has interesting articles and provides contacts for a complete spectrum of trades and retail people whether it be plumbers, gardeners, electricians, etc.etc. In fact it is an eagerly awaited Guide arriving every two months and is read by all the family.

Over the past years I have had the need to communicate important news to the Culcheth Community whether that be regarding activities associated with the local Culcheth Athletic Football Club or issues associated with unwanted Planning Applications for development in the Village etc. The Culcheth Essential Guide has always been very pro-active in picking up the articles and getting them into print. This is great support for our community and the residents of Culcheth and long may it continue. Keep up the excellent work.

We use The Essential Guide to promote Warrington Youth Club and to let the local community know about our fantastic services and any upcoming events that we have planned. It has been a great way of increasing our prescience and letting people know what we actually do. Anne at The Essential Guide has been extremely helpful and professional in helping promote a local charity for which we are extremely thankful. From advertising in The Essential Guide we have noticed that more people know about our existence and have even attracted some supporters and donations – which is fantastic. We look forward to working with The Essential Guide in the future.
Zoe Slater, Warrington Youth Club

My first contact with the Essential Guide was an issue posted through my door, I was so impressed with the content and presentation I used their services to advertise my own business.
It’s been such a success for me I now advertise in the magazine on a regular basis, An Essential part of my advertising now.

I regularly advertise in The Essential Guide To Culcheth Magazine and find that for a small outlay I do get results. The magazine also has interesting features relevant to the local residents and for that reason people keep and read the magazine – always a plus for advertisers.

I have been advertising in the Essential Guide for quite a few years now. The editor is friendly, helpful and always willing to offer advice and support. I have found the Guide to be cost-effective and a good way to let the local people hear about my business and the services I offer. The Guide is a local magazine distributed locally. Many satisfied clients of mine have said that they generally look for local trades people and often find them in the Essential Guide. I would recommend to anyone thinking of advertising in the Guide to do so as I have had many new clients as a direct result of my adverts in the Essential Guide.

We advertised with Essential Guide back when they started and have noticed that we’ve received more enquiries from local sources than we used to. So much so that we now advertise on the front cover. It’s better than the usual magazines that get dropped through doors that tend to be full of blatant advertorials that most people don’t bother to read, as it is packed with phone numbers of businesses that residents in the area use, like restaurants, take-aways and newsagents as well as the numbers for local services all in easy index on the back page that directs them to your advert with the phone number on. I live locally myself and use it alot when I’m looking for something so I know it works.

Since starting my business I have used “The Essential Guides” on a regular basis and I am delighted that they have had a significant positive effect on sales and business development. The Guides are an informative source of local information and I know personally that they are well received and are invariably kept for several weeks or months as a local reference guide. It is for these reasons that The Guides are a very cost effective way of promoting any locally based business wishing to inform their potential customers and thereby building sales.

Since starting my business I have advertised in various places, but find that I get far more response from local adverts in local publications. I have advertised in another Culcheth publication for a few years, but have acquired a large proportion of new clients since advertising in “The Essential Guide”. I am often told that it is the handy size which means it is easily filed and brought to hand when needed. I will definitely be renewing my advertising for a further 12 months and now advertise in the Birchwood issue too.
