BNI Warrington welcomed Cllr Les Morgan to their meeting on Friday 27th October.
Les talked about his busy role as Mayor, and the charities he has chosen to support in his year of office, which are aligned with his vision of bringing more prosperity and care to Warrington.
“I’ve chosen truly local charities this year,” said Les. “All these provide help and support to local people across the town, and really need the support of the local community to enable them to continue the great work they do.”
He is supporting the following four charities:
Warrington Multiple Sclerosis Society
Ambitious and aspirational plans to make real progress in MS treatments, research, care and support, and help people affected by MS take control of their lives.
Warrington Food Bank
Feeding local people in crisis
Reducing the number of young people who take their own lives by shattering the stigma around suicide and equipping young people and their communities with the skills to recognise and respond to suicidal behaviour.
Warrington Street Pastors
Street Pastors are a Church response to neighbourhood problems; trained volunteers, who engage with people on the streets during the night-time economy to ‘Care, Listen and dialogue, and offer practical Help’.
