26 local people have taken up the challenge of riding 313 miles from London to Paris for four amazing charities all dedicated to helping children in our communities.
On Wednesday the 20th September the group set off from central London travelling 86 miles before catching the ferry to Calais. They then have a short ride in the dark to their hotel on day one.
Three more days of riding will then see the group arrive in central Paris cycling twice around the Eiffel Tower.
From retired people to mothers, and cycling novices. The group really make up what our communities look like.
Mark Jones a local independent financial adviser who came up with the original idea for the ride in 2014 said “Its amazing the time, effort and energy everyone involved has put in to getting this to happen. We chose Brainwave, Hand on Heart, Warrington Youth Club and SASSY as they all focus on helping children locally. We aim to raise around £30K but really need the people who read this magazine to sponsor the riders”.
Well we think it’s amazing what they are all doing.
