Charity Brass Band Concert in aid of Marie Curie, 16th July 2016

The 2nd Rossendale Scout Senior Brass Band will be returning to St. Wilfrid’s Church in Grappenhall Village on Saturday, July 16th, 2016.   The concert begins at 7.30pm. Tickets cost £10.00 each for adults and £5.00 for children under 16.  The ticket price includes refreshments in the interval. All proceeds from the event will be going to Marie Curie Care.

The 2nd Rossendale Senior Scout Band, which is based in Bacuphas, been entertaining audiences since its formation in 1963.  Last year they came to St. Wilfrid’s for the first time and gave us a fantastic evening of music and entertainment. This year, the Band will be with us again, performing a varied repertoire of traditional and modern brass music.  The band have a full programme of engagements throughout 2016, so we are especially honoured that they have agreed to return to Grappenhall this year.

In recent times the Senior Band have played alongside the Black Dyke, Fodens, Grimethorpe Colliery, Brighouse and Rastrick Bands.  They have appeared at Windsor Castle for HM Queen Elizabeth and at many fine concert venues including The Bridgewater Hall, The Royal Northern College of Music and at Cologne Cathedral.
