The Cardamon Indian Restaurant in Stockton Heath was the setting for a wonderful night of fundraising on behalf of Brainwave North West’s Milestone Appeal.
In the stylish and sophisticated surroundings of the Cardamon, guests enjoyed a delicious two course meal prepared by the chefs especially for the event.
The event which was sponsored by Birchwood Shopping Centre raised a fantastic £3,200 for the Charity and Abbie Heaney’s Mum, Sarah, gave everybody an update on Abbie’s progress over the last 12 months.
The event was also attended by Tim Stimpson, a former British Lion and Roger Draper, the CEO at Warrington Wolves, both of whom gave most interesting and inspiring talks and took a question and answer session.
Special thanks, too, to Pete Pinnington, to our photographer Andrew Collier (www.andrewcollierphotography.co.uk) and to Mr. Hock and his amazing staff at The Cardamon Restaurant for their fantastic help during the evening.
Brainwave works with children who suffer significant developmental delay helping them to reach their potential and thus greater independence. Therapists work to improve mobility, communication skills and learning development via a range of educational and physical programmes, each programme being totally unique to the specific child’s needs.
Joanne Freeman, Brainwave’s Community Manager said:
“Brainwave’s therapy centre receives no funding from the government or the NHS. We are very grateful to the local community and companies for their continued support to help the children we work with.”
